Welcome! I thought I would start a blog, hopefully to keep family and friends updated. This is a family picture taken in the fall with 3 of our chickens. We now have 17! We also have 2 sheep, will be getting a cow soon, and we would like some ducks, too! Yes, we are city people turned country bumkins!
Oh Mikayla, Mikayla, our sweet and funny Mikayla! Yes, she wrapped a scarf around one of the chickens and walked it! She definitely keeps us laughing!

Mikayla putting one of the chicks to sleep!
Here's a hilarious picture that Bryce took! The chicken on the barbecue! Love it!
When we first got the lambs, they were very jumpy and scared and wouldn't come near us. Then we lured them with yummy food (Rick calls it their "candy") and slowly they started coming closer and closer to us.
Now the lambs come right up to us, and when they see us coming, they run to the gate and get all excited!
Erica and Mikayla love driving the riding lawnmower around!

The following are pictures of my beautiful girls. We took them to the Botanical Gardens in Boise, where I got some great pictures of them!

Here are a couple of photos I took of some flowers.

Bryce was awarded "Most Outstanding Jazz Musician" by his peers and teacher. It was neat! He was also chosen by 8th grade teachers for "talent" and got to do a PowerPoint presentation about himself in front of the whole school!

Here is a picture of our "new" house. It's come a long way since we first looked at it a couple of years ago! We moved in May of 2011, so it's been just over a year. The people that remodeled and fixed up the house just before we bought it took out most of the overgrown shrubs and planted grass, etc. But for Mother's Day this year, I got curbing put in, and that Saturday we all planted the nice flowers and put the rock in. It looks beautiful...I was so excited! We just planted the 2 trees in front and we'll be putting curbing in around them and also some more on the other side of the driveway, with rock etc. But that will probably have to wait until next year. Curbing isn't cheap! Below on the right is what the house used to look like...overgrown trees and bushes, dead lawn and all!

You KNOW, don't you, that you guys have an enviable life-style! You have all the modern-day conveniences, with a good taste of farm and country life! I can't think of a better way to raise of family! Your kids are sooo adorable and I love them to pieces! I want to hear Bryce play his drums next time I come. And Mikayla can make me something to eat. And Erica can fix my hair! I've had a pail of bubblegum since I thought I was coming a few months ago! I should just mail it! :):) You guys have done an awesome job with your home AND YARD in one short year!! It would take me YEARS to get that far!! Miss you all. Sandi
